Light and Darkness
Perhaps everyone has, at least once, asked themselves the same question:
Why did God allow darkness to exist?
If God is Love…
If He is Light…
Why is there so much pain in the world?
So much injustice?
So much suffering?
I reflected on this question for a long time.
Gradually, I came to understand one simple truth.
We discover the true value of light only after we have, at least once, walked through darkness.
A person who has never known thirst cannot fully appreciate a single sip of water.
Someone who has never experienced loneliness cannot truly understand the gift of genuine friendship.
And anyone who has never passed through the dark night of the soul will never completely grasp what Light truly is.
But there is something even more important to understand.
Darkness, by itself, creates nothing.
It cannot love.
It cannot forgive.
It cannot give life.
Darkness is simply the backdrop against which light shines most brightly.
